Проблема культурной идентичности в последние годы получила новое прочтение в связи с расширением межкультурных связей, как внутри страны, между представителями различных этнических групп, так и между странами с различными культурными кодами. Рассматриваются понятие культурной идентичности, ее становление в процессе инкультурации и участие культурной идентичности в процессе межкультурной коммуникации; приводятся данные опроса, проведенного среди студенческой молодежи, направленного на изучение отношения молодых азербайджанцев к своей и другим культурам, значимости межкультурной коммуникации и межкультурной компетенции.

The problem of cultural identity has received a new interpretation in recent years due to the expansion of intercultural ties, both within the country, between representatives of different ethnic groups, and between countries with different cultural codes. The article examines the concept of cultural identity, its formation in the process of inculturation and the participation of cultural identity in the process of intercultural communication. The article presents data from a survey conducted among students, aimed at studying the attitude of young Azerbaijanis towards their own and other cultures, the importance of intercultural communication and intercultural competence.
