Abstract
The article discusses the application of tasks in the form of essays in teaching the discipline "Fundamentals of Russian statehood". The features of the essay as types of educational activity, the features of the essay in relation to the discipline "Fundamentals of Russian statehood" are investigated. The author summarizes his own experience of teaching the discipline "Fundamentals of Russian statehood". The novelty of the work consists in developing proposals for the formation of students' ideas about the values of the Russian worldview and improving the effectiveness of teaching the discipline "Fundamentals of Russian Statehood".
