The role of the history of philosophy as the basis of a philosophical worldview

Abstract
This article examines one option for constructing a university philosophy course based on historical and philosophical concepts. The author demonstrates that, despite criticism, this approach, when properly approached, has enormous potential to develop students' knowledge of the substantive aspects of philosophy and demonstrate the best examples of logical and reasoned thinking.
