Abstract

The study of the labor market in the Kaliningrad region has revealed a growing demand for specialists with modern employability competencies, especially in large companies and the service sector. Analysis of vacancies for young professionals identified two main salary groups: line employees and managers. This highlights the importance of developing both professional and managerial skills among students. The largest share of vacancies is concentrated in the tertiary sector of the economy: services, trade, hospitality, and healthcare. High staff turnover in these industries creates a need for continuous training focused on practical skills and customer interaction.

The Kaliningrad region is among the leaders in demand for specialists with well-developed employability competencies. However, there is a structural imbalance: the training provided by educational institutions does not always meet the real needs of the labor market. There is a shortage of workers in skilled trades (builders, drivers, cooks, medical personnel) alongside a surplus of graduates in other fields.

Based on the research, a textbook and a video course have been developed as effective tools for shaping students’ competencies necessary for successful employment. The use of such materials will help bridge the gap between educational programs and employer demands, as well as establish unified regional requirements for the training of qualified personnel.

Abstract

The article presents the author's concept of the development and implementation of the innovative educational program of higher education "Bioeconomics of fisheries and aquaculture" (qualification "engineer-economist"). The relevance of the research is due to the systemic crisis in the field of personnel training for the fisheries sector, characterized by the fragmentation of knowledge and the gap between technical, biological and economic management units. The purpose of the article is to theoretically substantiate the structure and content of an interdisciplinary program that forms an integrator specialist capable of carrying out technical and economic optimization of value chains based on the principles of bioeconomics and circular economy. The methodological basis of the research was a systematic approach, a content analysis of existing educational standards and professional standards in the field of fisheries, aquaculture, food biotechnology and enterprise economics, as well as a method for modeling competencies. As a result of the research, a key personnel shortage of fishing and aquaculture actors in the specialists of the bioeconomics sector has been identified. A detailed training plan is proposed. The resource provision of the program is justified. A comparative study of the career prospects of graduates of the specialty "Bioeconomics of fisheries and aquaculture" has been conducted. The proposed concept is not an evolutionary update, but a revolutionary educational model aimed at overcoming narrow-industry fragmentation. Its implementation will facilitate the transition of the Russian fisheries sector from a raw model to an innovative bioeconomy, providing a human resource base for the implementation of national strategic priorities in the field of food security and technological sovereignty.

Abstract

The article considers the use of sustainable development principles (ESG principles) in the educational process of an agricultural university using the example of the discipline "Ecology in an agricultural university". The purpose of the work is to form environmental knowledge when studying the special course "Ecology in an agricultural university" and to identify pedagogical conditions for their formation in students of the Russian State Agrarian University-Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy in the direction of training "Aquatic Bioresources Management" for future professional activities. To improve the quality of professional training of specialists, knowledge in the field of ecology is necessary. Environmental knowledge in the field of aquatic bioresources and aquaculture is aimed at preserving water resources, selecting and using safe technologies for their reproduction. The importance of environmental training during the training period is confirmed by the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard and the professional standard for the formation of competencies in the field of environmental protection. In practice, when studying the discipline "Ecology" in an agricultural university, insufficient attention is paid to the content of the discipline, taking into account the system and technological approaches. The purposeful organization of pedagogical conditions for the acquisition of ecological knowledge, skills, abilities, and the acquisition of experience in using ecological knowledge when studying professional disciplines ensures the quality of training a specialist in the field of aquatic bioresources management. The results of the study showed that the application of the principles of the system-technological approach in the block-modular construction of the discipline "Ecology in an agricultural university" will allow the implementation of professionally oriented environmental training of students in an agricultural university.

Abstract

The article examines the theoretical and practical aspects of implementing the phenomenological model of education in an engineering and technical university. The author proceeds from the thesis that the classical "knowledge-based" paradigm, focused on transmitting readymade truths and algorithms, exhausts its heuristic possibilities when preparing specialists for a rapidly changing technological environment. The phenomenological model, which emphasizes subjective experience, the act of understanding, and meaning generation, offers an alternative path – not the transmission of knowledge, but the creation of conditions for its "cultivation" in the student's mind. Using the example of a laboratory workshop developed by the author, specific ways of implementing the phenomenological model in engineering education are shown. It is concluded that the phenomenological model is not opposed to engineering education but rather serves as its necessary humanitarian foundation, allowing the future specialist not just to "know how," but to understand "why" and "for what purpose."

Abstract

The article examines the system of basic categories in foreign language teaching methodology – technique, method, and teaching system – in their hierarchical interrelation. The author elucidates the essence of each concept, demonstrates their functional distinctions, and highlights the dynamic nature of the boundaries between them (notably, the potential transformation of a technique into a method through systematic application).

The paper analyses key teaching methods (demonstration, explanation, exercise), their typology, and operational content via specific techniques. Particular emphasis is placed on criteria for selecting methods and techniques: creating a supportive learning environment, adopting a learner‑centered approach, activating learner agency, implementing differentiation and individualization, and ensuring sociocultural relevance.

Additionally, the functional roles of the teacher (organizational, instructional, monitoring) and the learner (familiarization, practice, application) are outlined. The conclusion underscores that teaching effectiveness is achieved through a balance between theoretical foundations and practical objectives, flexibility in combining methods, a focus on developing communicative competence, and ongoing reflection on teaching practice.

Abstract

This study examines the socio-psychological factors that contribute to the emergence of conflicts within ship crews during professional activities and exposure to extreme marine environments. The main types of conflict intrapersonal, interpersonal, and intergroup are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to socio-psychological conflicts as significant obstacles to the effective performance of professional tasks within a ship crew. Key factors in the marine environment that provoke socio-psychological stress are identified. These include objective macro-factors (isolation, monotony), micro-factors (sea motion, watchkeeping), and personal factors that enhance their impact. The phases of crew adaptation are studied using the model of Yu. M. Stenko. It has been established that during certain periods of a voyage, sociopsychological stress can persist in a latent form for an extended period, subsequently escalating into open conflict situations. An analysis of the main types of conflicts (intrapersonal, interpersonal, and intergroup) was conducted among 1st-5th-year cadets majoring in «Navigation» (26.05.05). The study's results confirm the role of psychological factors as a key component significantly influencing the performance of professional tasks on board a ship.

Abstract

The paper analytes fatalism and infantilism as key psychological predictors of personality vulnerability to indoctrination. The article analytes the influence of overprotective and indulgent parenting style on the formation of infantile behaviour among young people, leading to a diffusion of identity, a decrease in the ability to make independent decisions and responsibility for their actions. The relationship between infantilism and delayed mental maturation during normal physiological maturation is substantiated. The influence of fatalistic thinking on the perception of events from the temporal perspective of a personality (past, present, future) is studied when analysing the degree of resistance to crisis events. The conclusion is made about the difference between a diffuse personality and a personality with a solid moral and volitional foundation. A diffuse personality is prone to reckless risk-taking for hedonistic reasons, but in face of danger, it abandons its previous goals and actions. Whereas a person with a solid moral and volitional base retains his beliefs, remaining irrationally devoted to his ideals even when life and health are at risk.
